Ricordeas Are a typically hardy soft coral found off the coast of Florida in tropical waters. They are actually a type of anemone rather than the commonly thought classification into the mushroom family, in an aquarium environment they thrive on lower light conditions and will tolerate high nutrient rich water making them a perfect starter coral. In the aquarium, ricordeas thrive in less light intense conditions with slightly nutrient rich water. VHO and power compact lighting provide perfect lighting. They can enjoy occasional meaty feeds where conditions will not allow them to grab zooplankton from the water (ultra low nutrient systems as an example)
